Residential Leasing Manager - Scattered Site

A successful Residential Leasing Manager will be accountable for filling vacant units under management as well as third party leasing which includes, but is not limited to: vacant unit marketing, applicant screening and qualifying, successful resident move-in, preparing lease renewals, and being the eyes and the ears in the field.

This is what we need from you:

• 2 years or more as a Leasing Manager, working in the scattered site Property Management industry here in Chicagoland and having leased 200 or more units annually
• Currently a licensed Illinois Real estate leasing agent or broker
• Ability to join us a the Roselle office,Mon-Fri, and ablity to visit properties, as needed.
• Experience working with HOA, municipal, county, & state laws and regulations
• Knowledge of leasing, owner agreements, documents for third party landlords
• Experience in rental unit marketing
• Worked as a point of contact for real estate investors as it relates to marketing and leasing rental units.
• Previously managed a team of 4+ direct reports

Your Day To Day In this Role:

• Team Development: Conduct daily meetings to train and coach leasing agents and support staff.
• Support: Address team concerns and questions about leasing units and job duties.
• Marketing Approval: Approve marketing for vacant units.
• Scheduling: Ensure properties have adequate showing times.
• Rental Quotes: Provide rental rate quotes for new and existing clients.
• Application Review: Approve or deny applications based on criteria.
• Lease Management: Execute and review new leases and renewals for accuracy.
• License Management: Handle rental license violations and citations.
• Client Updates: Provide leasing status updates and manage client issues.
• Commission Approval: Approve leasing commission payouts.
• Team Support: Provide backup for team members as needed.
• Work Environment: 90% office-based, 10% fieldwork.

We are growing from 1,400 to 3,500 doors under management in the next 4 years. This type of growth requires a Leasing Team Leader with experience managing leasing agents for condos, townhomes, single family, and small multi family properties around the Chicagoland area. The right candidate can help the team grow their level of expertise, be able to complete leasing tasks themselves, and should be someone that loves the grind of getting deals done.
