New Horizons is the largest mental health and addiction recovery provider on the Treasure Coast (and beyond), serving 15,000 children and adults annually through inpatient crisis services, 24-hour help line and mobile response team, and outpatient programs conveniently located across Indian River, Martin, Okeechobee and St. Lucie counties. In addition, New Horizons assists 22,000 students in area schools, and we work closely with the courts, law enforcement, jails, and hospitals to help improve the health of individuals and the quality of life in our community.

New Horizons is a nonprofit agency seeking a caring and compassionate Staff Assistant (Ixoria) to Perform and provide secretarial, clerical, clinical and administrative support services. 

 As a Staff Assistant (Ixoria) your responsibilities will include:

• Enters information in the electronic data processing system, client data, program policies and procedures and other various data, as required
• Answers telephone, takes messages and communicates messages to the appropriate person
• Assembles and maintains client medical records
• Responsible for the collection and transmission of Patient Account information and billing documents
• Opens, sorts, reviews and distributes incoming mail; routes outgoing mail
• Maintains strict confidentiality of sensitive material and/or information

Requirements

New Horizons will need you to have the following qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Four (4) years secretarial/clerical experience; typing 55 WPM, dictation/transcription experience
