Lead Vault Order Selector (Cold Warehouse) 2nd shift

Essential Functions:

•  Approach work with a Continuous Improvement mindset, and engage in Model Dairy Mission Statement to identify, value, prioritize, resource and sustain improvement opportunities.
• Own and promote a Safety Culture by ensuring a safe work environment and promoting proper safety behavior.
• Excellent attendance and punctuality is an essential function of this position.
• Unload trailers of empty pallets and cases using pallet jack, move cases to washer for cleaning.
• Load pallets into trucks using pallet jack; ability to follow written load tickets for accurate shipments.
• Stage product for shipping; ability to follow written load tickets for accurate loads.
• Other duties as assigned.   
• Fill and complete orders accurately and efficiently.
• Carefully inspect products for code dates and cleanliness.
• Pick, pull and stack all orders in such a manner as to ensure safe and clean shipment.
• Complete all logs and documents as required.
• Lead/responsible for shift without supervisor when required
• Assist with training new team members as needed.
• Enforce all Company rules and regulations.
• Perform related duties as required to include removing of milk and creamers from the robot and stock and load, answer the bell and send orders.
• Enforce all company policies and programs with employee’s working directly and indirectly under their supervision.
• Report any violations of policies and programs to management for corrective action.
• Customer service skills required for interaction with vendors.
• Be available to work the PFR alley, IC Freezer, corrugated, retail and loadout.
• Move trucks and checks reefers.
• Send milk.
• Run bossy cart machine.
• Pull line and/or pull milk and drag trucks if needed.
• Comprehend principles of product rotation, dates, codes, and sizes
• Work in all sections of the Vault/Shipping
• Read, understand, and carry out instructions
• Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
• Assess and resolve problems with orders
• Comply with safety policies, procedures, and job description
• Ability to maintain excellent attendance
• Ability to move yard equipment and must be willing to be certified on all powered industrial equipment

   

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Must be a trustworthy self-starter who can work independently on highly detailed tasks and deliver accurate, timely results.
• Ability to learn quickly and continuously.
• Must be able to stand/walk for full shift, lift 50 lbs., pull/push up to 300 pounds and work safely around industrial machinery.
• Must be able to work in cold (refrigerated) environment.
• Must be available to work any shift including weekends.
