About the role
Job Description Summary
The mission of MBE 3.0 is to improve the Digital Thread across Gas Power Engineering and our partnering functions, keying in on error-proofing enablement and waste elimination within our business processes. This role will take on key leadership responsibilities within the MBE 3.0 initiative. The MBE 3.0 Leader will lead the overall implementation of action plans through collaboration with the MBE 3.0 Core Team, tool owners, and a broad range of organizational stakeholders on the process transformations needed to support MBE 3.0 breakthroughs.Using Lean methodologies, you will industrialize the Future State Model Based Enterprise processes through the organization ensuring that planned Kaizen Events, process improvement experiments, and Plan Do Check Act actions are being performed using newly installed Daily Management system that will measure the Future State processes to identify and eliminate waste. The Targets to Improve MBE 3.0 breakthrough efforts are a transformational reduction in applied Requisition Engineering Labor Hours to create capacity within the organization to go on the offense and work on MBE 3.0 breakthroughs related to the future of Gas Power.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Be the overall Leader for the MBE 3.0 initiative, ensuring operational business process are being followed and managed; create and manage schedules, resource plans, vouchering data and other financial measures ensuring deliverables and budgets are actively managed and fulfilled.
- Lead overall implementation of actions to go from Today’s Current State of disconnected processes to the breakthrough Future State, using the Lean methodologies to identify pain points and create and implement actions to close the gap between these two states.
- Apply appropriate Daily Management, owning bowler KPIs for the MBE 3.0 initiative, ensuring that the data streams are industrialized with the IT Team and are accurately reported to the Value Stream Leaders.
- Take a leadership role in all MBE 3.0 Activities that involve vouchering and resource allocation assessments and process improvements, such as EAC Visibility and Site, post ex-works, support activities.
- Collaborate with the MBE 3.0 Core Team and cross-business teams (e.g. HDNU, CMPD, DT, Mfg) on the Action Plans, socializing the plans, building consensus, and respectfully providing going-forward guidance where there is not consensus, making use of a cross functional MBE 3.0 Steering Committee as needed.
- Coach, mentor, and overall program manage (foundational for execution) the execution of the Action Plans using Progress Measures & Targets to Improve, identifying areas where the Action Plans need improvement and focus.
- Working with the MBE 3.0 Core Team, identify the Pillar Tools and gaps in the Digital Thread and define the primary systems of record for engineering technical definition data.
- Ensure that the new processes implemented into the business practices, as part of the capability build-up, are implemented with governance and are sustainable, measurable, and adaptable for continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
- 8+ years engineering experience in Engineering Design, Technical, and/or Operating discipline.
