For more than 25 years, Woodard & Curran has offered contract operations and management services for drinking water, municipal and industrial wastewater, groundwater remediation, and solid waste facilities nationwide. Currently we contract operate more than 85 facilities nationwide. Woodard & Curran draws on the experience of hundreds of certified operators across the country, backed by the knowledge and skills of hundreds more engineers, scientists, and regulatory experts, to quickly tackle the most challenging operational issues and keep treatment plants running efficiently and in full compliance. Who We Are Looking For: We are growing! Due to this growth, we have an immediate opening for an Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Specialist to help support several water, wastewater and industrial waste treatment facilities within the mid-Atlantic region of the United States. In this role, you will perform operation and maintenance of assigned treatment, mechanical and electrical equipment and other similarly related facility components and equipment. You will work with staff to evaluate maintenance and ensure Asset Management practices are consistently implemented and tracked. You will work with various software technologies and may respond to emergency calls at facilities and take the required corrective action or assist Woodard & Curran and our client personnel. In some cases, you may provide shift coverage assistance, (if properly licensed) as directed to maintain staffing compliance and/or integrity. You may also support clients interim support and maintenance activities. Lastly, you will provide technical assistance for process control changes and troubleshooting activities.

What You Will Be Doing at Woodard & Curran:
- Work with the Operations Leader, Area Managers and Project Managers to support project demands with routine & corrective maintenance, capital planning, process control improvements and training of staff on industry standard maintenance practices.
- Provide technical support and training onsite to implement the Asset Management Program.
- Assist with preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance and emergency repairs.
- Supporting instrument calibrations and upgrades.
- Utilize W&C technical platforms for data collection: Utility Cloud Hach WIMS, Do Forms, Power BI, etc.
- Assist in interpreting and updating GIS maps and plant plans and specifications.
- Provide operations and maintenance support at water, wastewater and/or industrial treatment facilities.
What will you need to succeed?
- Solid maintenance background which may include certifications and licenses.
- Knowledge of the water and wastewater industryto include equipment, controls and process.
- Experience in the inspection, condition assessment, reporting, and repair and maintenance of sanitary sewer mains, manholes and lift stations and distribution system force mains, services and pump stations.
- Ability to utilize business intelligence systems including PowerBI is a plus.
- Knowledge of artificial intelligence systems and implementation is a plus.
- Experience with utility technology software including Hach’s Water Information Management System (Hach WIMS) is a plus.
- Willingness to travel to support assigned projects and assist with emergency event repair and recovery efforts.
- Knowledge of predictive maintenance equipment and best practices is a plus.
- Successful candidates will be required to complete a DOT background check and DOT pre-placement physical and DOT drug screen before employment.
