What you'll do

As part of the Product Security team, you will be helping Docusign in developing secure products. You will develop and aid in the implementation of the “secure by default” framework. We interact with several different tech stacks at Docusign, so we expect you to research and learn new technologies and programming languages on a regular basis. You will be building strong working relationships across the organization with a focus on raising the security bar with our product development partners. 

 

This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Director, Product Security.

 

Responsibility

  • Roll out security scanners in software development lifecycle, integration and maintenance of the security tools
  • Be a technical leader on product security and deliver high quality products, sometimes through others

  • Develop and maintain production-grade product safe libraries that detect sensitive information, mitigate common security risks such as cross-site scripting and other injection attacks

  • Be an expert in at least 2-3 security domains such as applied cryptography, application security, code signing etc

  • Enable developers to ship secure code through tools, people, processes

  • Discover and investigate potential security issues in Docusign products

  • Guide developers on security best practices and implementation

  • Aid in code reviews, focused on security bug reduction

  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other security practitioners to assess core applications

  • Review and verify reported vulnerabilities, perform root cause analysis, and partner with developers to drive corrections

  • Focus on large, ambiguous security problems in internal and partner-org security services or initiatives

  • Form a strong relationship with developer teams and serve as point of contact and security SME for questions arising around secure development

  • Identify and communicate opportunities for continuous improvement that can bring value to multiple teams

  • Create thorough documentation related to areas of ownership

Job Designation

Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)

What you bring

Basic

  • 12+ years of related experience in software security engineering
  • Experience in Application Security code reviews
  • Experience in threat modeling applications
  • Experience with Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD) platforms
  • Development experience in one or more of the following languages: Python, C#, JavaScript or Java
  • Experience in application security within cloud environments
  • Experience identifying manual processes and implementing sustainable automated solutions
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related field

Preferred

  • Masters in Cybersecurity
  • Skilled in prioritizing multiple projects and programs by assessing the required engineering efforts and their potential impact
  • Knowledge of regulations and standards including PCI-DSS, OWASP, and NIST Cybersecurity Frameworks
  • Experience with container security
  • Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle and industry standard software engineering practices including scrum development
  • Exposure to penetration testing practices
  • Experience with the implementation and maintenance of industry standard application security toolin
