Job Description

Overview 

We are seeking a Sr. Mobile Platform Developer to join our team in Orlando, FL.

Provides advanced and diversified expertise in the planning, architecture, development, implementation, and support of enterprise mobile platform solutions. With limited direction, applies specialized mobile development, solution architecture, troubleshooting, and product knowledge to highly complex technical problems. This role serves as the senior technical owner for mobile platform capabilities, ensuring alignment with the broader solution platform, customer implementation needs, quality standards, and future product direction.

Your role 

  • Participates in scope of work and estimate development for mobile platform enhancements, utilizing advanced technical domain knowledge; leads scope and estimate development for complex mobile architecture or platform modernization efforts.
  • Conducts client, implementation, product, and support needs analyses and translates business requirements into mobile software specifications for complex projects.
  • Leads the design, development, maintenance, and evolution of cross-platform mobile applications supporting Android, iOS, and Windows device environments.
  • Serves as a mobile solution architect, defining design patterns, technical approaches, and integration strategies that align mobile capabilities with the broader enterprise platform.
  • Develops customized mobile application functionality by writing well-documented code in applicable mobile, web, database, and integration environments to meet documented software requirements.
  • Performs maintenance and enhancement tasks on existing mobile platform components following established architecture, design standards, and product release practices.
  • Analyzes highly complex mobile technical problems and devises new approaches, alternative solutions, and practical workarounds for synchronization, offline operation, upload handling, map configuration, device behavior, and platform-specific issues.
  • Provides database design insight and supports local and backend data architecture considerations, including document-centric local databases, synchronization models, relational data opportunities, and future online/offline operating modes.
  • Leads documentation and diagramming of mobile business requirements, technical requirements, architecture decisions, release impacts, support patterns, and implementation best practices.
  • Coordinates with quality assurance resources to define mobile-specific test cases, review defects, validate complex scenarios, and ensure mobile release readiness.
  • Provides advanced support escalation for mobile platform issues.
  • Advises implementation, technical support, product, and leadership teams on mobile setup, configuration, troubleshooting, customer readiness, and appropriate escalation paths.
  • Maintains continued knowledge of mobile technology developments, including the advancement of AI, cross-platform development approaches, device operating systems, security considerations, database technologies, and enterprise application architecture.
  • Supports proposal, RFI, demo, user group, and webinar activities by providing accurate technical input on mobile capabilities, limitations, configuration requirements, and future direction.
  • Leads code reviews, contributes to code review standards, develops reusable architectures, interfaces with remotes teams, directing work, checking results and mentors other development resources in mobile platform practices.
  • Performs such other duties as the Supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.
  • Complexity (Variety or uniqueness of tasks; relative difficulty or importance of work performed; size of unit supported, etc.): Work involves research, analysis, architecture, development, and problem solving on a variety of highly complex mobile platform issues. Work requires application of sophisticated cross-platform mobile development techniques, enterprise application architecture, synchronization strategies, local and backend database understanding, GIS/web map integration, quality control, implementation support, and customer-facing technical judgment. The role supports a critical product area where technical decisions may affect customer implementations, support efficiency, release quality, and future platform direction.
  • Decision-making (Supervision received; independent judgment or initiative; consequence of error): Supervision received is primarily administrative, with assignments provided in terms of broad objectives, product priorities, customer needs, and delivery expectations.
