Warehouse Logistics Manager

Description

FIC America Corp. is a global Tier 1 automotive components manufacturer centrally located in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago. We are seeking a Warehouse Logistics Manager. 

• Ensure accurate and timely shipments to our customers and order fulfillment
• Oversee activities of production, supervision, and activities of employees
• Develop long-term goals and strategies to meet business objectives for Hoshin
• Execute decisions based on business conditions in congruence with corporate vision
• Gather and analyze information from work sites to identify root causes in resolving business issues
• Employ 8-Step Problem Solving to resolve problems for continual improvement
• Direct and assign work schedules, assignments, tasks, and duties
• Train and develop employees to perform job duties according to company procedures and policies for safety and accuracy
• Monitor results and processes to proactively maximize production and eliminate waste
• Prepare departmental reports and present them to executive management
• Complete necessary documentation, such as status changes, time-off requests, and performance evaluations
• Collaborate with other Managers, Supervisors, Team Leaders, and team members in sharing information to address business needs
• Develop and implement standard work instructions

Other Job Functions

• Comply with FIC’s Safety policies and procedures
• Comply with TS 16949 and ISO 14001 procedures and standards
• Perform 5-S activities

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree preferred
• 5+ years of experience in a leadership role within shipping/warehouse operations
• Has a strong understanding of planning, shipping, warehouse management, and inventory systems
• Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Experience working in an automotive industry is preferred
• Experience working with a Tier 1 or Tier 2 supplier is preferred
• Knowledge of Lean or TPS practices is preferred
• ERP experience is preferred
