You will be an overall team player by collaborating with internal teams and vendors to resolve purchasing related issues, while participating in continuous trainings and lead others.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Respond to the most complex Purchasing-related Customer Service requests in a timely and systematic manner, including opening, documenting and closing requests in the system
- Interact with the Customer Service/Sales teams to answer and resolve pricing questions, confirm current costs, and obtain quotes for more complex products
- Interact with vendors to answer and resolve pricing questions, confirm current costs, and obtain quotes for new products
- Develop and maintain relationships with contacts at Suppliers as needed
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to identify and implement continuous improvement strategies

QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of experience in purchasing or related Field
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college in Supply Chain, Finance or related field. Other combinations of education and experience may be considered as equivalent
- Very strong negotiating skills
- Great attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and standards
- Very good computer skills with MS Office applications, ERP, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to share knowledge as a Subject Matter Expert
