IT Data Senior Architect

Join the Mizuho team as a Senior Data Architect!

Major Responsibilities:

• Collaborating to build reference architecture
• Documenting reference architecture: conceptual, logical and physical
• Communication and mentoring of architectural landscape in-team and cross-team
• Assisting engineering teams in all aspects with executing against architecture

Requirements:

• 10+ years working as a professional data architect
• Strong data modelling and building data contracts between producers/consumers
• Experience with designing modern data pipelines (especially in the cloud space) w/ data governance
• Principals and pragmatics of a medallion architecture
• Lambda architecture – streaming/batch
• Discipline for architecture/design documentation (conceptual, logical, physical)
• Micro services approach/design
• Working with data governance tooling within pipeline. I.e. Data Quality, Lineage, Cataloging, Data profiling and Observability
• Designing for analytical layers for various use cases and business disciplines inclusive of AI enablement.
• Financial background. Prefer knowledge in Derivatives, Cash, Finance and Banking products.
• Platform-wise, familiarity with: Databricks, Snowflake, Kafka, MDM tooling, and governance related tooling.
• Data Observability / SRE
• Strong communication skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Effective presentation skills
   

* College degree required.
 

The expected base salary ranges from $190k-$250k. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
