We are looking for a Principal Product Manager to define and drive a set of key strategic decisions, across multiple teams and stakeholders, that will improve Microsoft's ability to handle a set of priority emerging risks. In this role, you will drive alignment across teams on technical design choices and security policy, communicate these plans to executive leadership, and build and drive an execution plan to ensure that we successfully mitigate risk. Additionally, you will work closely with our security research teams to understand the evolving threat landscape and develop innovative strategies for getting ahead of these risks. Successful candidates will have efficient communication skills and an ability to navigate across organizations, familiarity with technical security concepts like access control and security monitoring, and an ability to handle ambiguous problem spaces needing definition and strategic vision.

Responsibilities
- Drive alignment and rhythm of business across multiple stakeholders and teams across different organizations
- Communicate regularly and effectively across stakeholders and executive leadership
- Develop technical documents and specs outlining potential solutions for risks that have been identified
- Build methods to quantify the security impact of the work being driven, and report on this regularly
- Develop strategic plans to proactively handle emerging risks

Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development
- OR equivalent experience.
- 7+ years experience as a product manager or technical product manager
- Effective written and verbal communication skill
- Ability to influence change across organizations and executive leadership
- Experience working on projects involving high-scale cloud services
Other Requirements
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check:
- This position will be required to pass the Microsoft background and Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Perferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years working in information security
Product Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $137,600 - $267,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $180,400 - $294,000 per year.
