Join a team that’s Changing What’s Possible – The Medical University of South Carolina’s Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences is actively recruiting for a General Psychiatrist to provide services at our MUSC Orangeburg location.
This opportunity will be mainly in an ambulatory clinic with some coverage for hospital-based services (inpatient and consults) This ambulatory clinic is an established practice with one psychologist and a licensed professional counselor. This role includes being a member of the teaching faculty for our MUSC Orangeburg Psychiatry Residency Program.
We are seeking candidates with:
- Training from an accredited Psychiatry Program
- Board Certification / Board Eligibility in Psychiatry
- Previous experience in teaching residents/medical students preferred, but not required.
Our opportunity:
- Ambulatory Clinic Space near hospital
- Some hospital-based consults during clinic hours if needed.
- Cover inpatient unit for vacations and sickness when needed.
- Will be a member of the teaching faculty in the MUSC Orangeburg Psychiatry Residency Program
- Providers have the opportunity to live outside the greater Orangeburg area and commute to work.
The candidate chosen for this role will be connected to MUSC’s Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences in Charleston and will receive access to the division’s resources, as well as clinical support from the Charleston team.
