Cruise is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Writer with a strong focus on IT operations and end user support. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating comprehensive templates, articles, and documentation for our knowledge database, as well as developing policies and procedures to enhance our IT operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Documentation Development:

• Create and maintain templates, articles, and user guides for the knowledge database.

• Develop detailed policies and procedures for IT operations and end user support.

• Ensure all documentation is clear, concise, and user-friendly.

Content Management:

• Organize and structure content to enhance accessibility and usability.

• Regularly review and update documentation to reflect changes in processes and technologies.

• Collaborate with IT staff to gather information and validate content.

Quality Assurance:

• Conduct thorough reviews of documentation for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with company standards.

• Implement standard methodologies for technical writing and documentation management.

Training and Support:

• Assist in developing training materials and user manuals.

• Provide support and guidance to end users regarding documentation and procedures.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, Communications, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical writing, with a focus on IT operations and end user support.

• Proven experience creating and managing knowledge base content and IT policies.

Skills:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong understanding of IT operations, end user support processes, and related technologies.

• Proficiency in technical writing tools and content management systems.

• Thorough with strong organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with ITIL or similar frameworks.

• Familiarity with service management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, JIRA).

• Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in IT documentation.

The salary range for this position is $95,600 - $140,600. Compensation will vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. You may also be offered a bonus, long-term incentives, and benefits. These ranges are subject to change.
