Company Description
Our client is seeking skilled Public Transit Project Managers to identify cost-effective transportation systems that meet operational needs while ensuring long-term investment protection for our client. This role is critical for a potential transportation-based project aimed at improving operational efficiencies and expanding public transit options.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in technical integration, project management, and leadership, ensuring the successful selection and implementation of solutions that enhance transit services.
Job Description
- Lead the solution selection and implementation process for public transportation systems, ensuring alignment with operational and strategic goals.
- Oversee projects involving CAD/AVL, On-demand, or Paratransit Software to enhance service delivery.
- Collaborate with small and rural transit agencies to develop tailored transportation solutions.
- Apply project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) to ensure projects stay on scope, budget, and timeline.
- Conduct technical integration efforts, including GIS mapping, database management, and software interoperability.
- Facilitate stakeholder communication, ensuring seamless coordination with transit agencies, vendors, and internal teams.
- Identify and mitigate risks while driving cost-effective and sustainable transit solutions.
- Provide progress reports, documentation, and presentations to key stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Proven experience managing transportation or transit-related projects, particularly in CAD/AVL, On-demand, or Paratransit Software.
- Experience working with small, rural transit agencies is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Asana).
- Technical expertise in GIS, database management, and software integration.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and critical thinking skills.
- PMP certification or other relevant project management certifications preferred.
- Ability to provide detailed project experience, including examples of past project successes and client/employer references.

- Salary: $90,000 - $100,000 per year
