The Manager, Retail Talent Development translates global organizational needs into development programs for all retail employees. They will lead collaborative efforts to assess, design, develop, deliver, and reinforce such needs with the goal of improving overall DTC performance. The Manager, Retail Talent Development has ownership of the retail talent lifecycle and sets a strategic vision for retail learning at LS&Co. This includes leading all retail onboarding, development programs, and targeted career pathing.
This is a hybrid position and will work onsite in our San Francisco Headquarters three times per week, Tuesday-Thursday.
About the Job:
Manage the development, implementation, and maintenance of retail career development programs (including new employee onboarding) with tailored approaches for all levels within the retail organization
Review and analyze job descriptions and career path models to identify areas of opportunity within performance development across the retail organization. Partner with global talent management and regional HR to implement enhancements
Leverage multiple modalities and the 70-20-10 learning ratio to ensure our team members receive effective training and development that directly influences their career growth
Research and gather feedback from learners and stakeholders to refine and ensure retail programs and experiences remain impactful and meet objectives
Partner with regional training teams to ensure the programming is globally streamlined
Consult and partner with business leadership, HR Business Partners, Talent Management, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion as needed
Facilitate virtual and in-person training sessions as necessary for retail programs
Develop change management plans to boost program visibility and engagement
Create learning journeys for continuous development
Review and analyze job descriptions and career path models to identify areas of opportunity within performance development across retail
Ensure the programming is globally streamlined
About You:
10 years professional experience
Global experience
Retail background
Proven track record in designing and implementing successful, customized learning and development programs for retail.
Acts as a strategic leader within the team for other retail programs; can connect strategy and approach across programs and the business
Strong execution of programs to grow and develop internal talent
Exceptional oral and written communication skills with strong attention to detail
Exceptional stakeholder management skills, adept at developing and maintaining effective working relationships across all levels of an organization, and within a matrixed, retail environment.
Highly organized with strong time management skills; able to set and manage expectations and competing priorities
Proven ability to roll out and manage talent solutions on global scale. Exceptional project management skills, from concept, to planning, to implementation, to results measurement.
Proactive and able to drive project work with a sense of ownership
Solutions-driven with an analytical approach to problem-solving
Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies
Experience working with e-learning platforms and practices.
