We’re seeking a Maintenance Mechanic III to join our facilities team and ensure our workplace remains safe, efficient, and fully operational. This role is responsible for overseeing preventive maintenance through the CMMS, performing repairs across multiple trades, coordinating vendor services, and supporting safety and compliance initiatives. Strong computer skills are a must, as the position requires managing digital maintenance systems, records, and communication tools. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and adaptable, with strong technical skills and a commitment to maintaining a clean, compliant, and well-functioning facility.

What You Will Do:

• Administers the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS): Schedules, performs, assigns and tracks preventive maintenance (PM) and repair tasks. Maintains accurate records of all completed work and collaborates with departments to develop and implement new maintenance programs.
• Performs general facility repairs across multiple trades (e.g., plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, basic fabrication). Supports reactive maintenance needs by assisting Senior Maintenance Mechanics with unplanned or emergency repairs.
• Conducts routine facility inspections to identify safety hazards, maintenance needs, or regulatory non-compliance.
• Coordinates with external vendors and contractors to schedule services and verify performance against scope of work (SOW).
• Purchases and manages facility-wide inventory of non-production supplies, including maintenance, janitorial, office, and vending items. Ensures timely restocking and cost-effective procurement.
• Partners with the Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) team to ensure facility compliance with all fire safety, emergency response, and life safety regulations. Maintains and updates all EHS-related facility mapping, including evacuation routes, fire response, shelter-in-place areas, eyewash station locations, confined spaces, and other critical safety documentation.
• Performs janitorial work to include emptying trash, cleaning equipment and areas, attending to restroom issues, set up and teardown of rooms for events, event food delivery and cleanup, power-washing, spill cleanup, sweeping, mopping and vacuuming.

 

Qualification You Must Have:

• Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) or vocational/ technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
