The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) team is seeking a  Senior Development Program Manager (Level L) to join the KC-46 Remote Vision System (RVS) Integrated Product Team (IPT) located in Everett, WA. The KC-46 RVS team is responsible for the Aerial Refueling Operator Station (AROS), boom and panoramic cameras, advanced image processing, and 3D displays that enable Aerial Refueling Operators to remotely configure and control the air refueling system.

This person will join the team responsible for guiding the fleet sustainment, production, development, and long-term product studies for Boeing’s RVS architecture. Boeing is undertaking a significant investment in RVS with the development of RVS 2.0 which includes high-definition, 3D video systems to enable Boeing to deliver the next generation of industry-leading aerial refueling capabilities.

We are seeking a program manager to join our IPT team with principal responsibility for leading program initiatives beyond RVS 2.0.  Additional RVS 2.0-related responsibilities may be assigned based on need. This position is best suited to individuals who are self-starters, highly motivated, and can work with quick decisions for the best interest of the business. The team works across numerous Boeing organizations including Boeing Commercial, Boeing Test & Evaluation, and Boeing Global Services and is ideal for leaders that enjoy working in a fast-paced multi-discipline environment.  In addition, the team works externally with key equipment suppliers and the US Air Force customer.

Position Responsibilities:

Program manager with responsibility for ensuring continued production and sustainability of the KC-46 RVS architecture:

  • Integrates with Supply Chain, Engineering and Materials Management to identify and mitigate parts obsolescence, including execution of any required obsolescence programs
  • Establishes an execution plan and launches the Panoramic Sensor Upgrade development program – a multi-year program to expand the cutting-edge boom camera technologies developed under RVS 2.0 into new KC-46 applications
  • Collaborates with IPT and KC-46 program leadership to ensure RVS products support KC-46 Production Extension (PEx) well into the next decade
  • Establishes and maintains the RVS product roadmap, integrating obsolescence-driven projects and product capability insertions
  • Supports ongoing integration special projects for RVS 2.0 development completion and readiness for production and fleet retrofits

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience leading cross functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with avionics, mission systems or electronics development
  • Experience with optics and/or vision systems
  • Experience with program management best practices
  • Experience with complex test programs
  • Experience with FAA and/or Military Type Certification
  • Experience working with external customer stakeholders
  • Experience working with a supplier
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering and / or computer science

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Travel: Willing and able to travel up to 25% domestically
