Job Description
Core Responsibilities
- Ensures the maintenance of and continued operation of mechanical systems such as HVAC systems, boiler, fans, generators, electrical switch gear and UPS systems.
- Plans and executes changes to facilities to include furniture installation, office rearrangements, electrical additions and other changes based on business needs such as changes in staffing levels.
- Handles any facilities emergencies that arise. Performs or coordinates preventive maintenance for equipment.
- Maintains records to track maintenance and repairs.
- Identifies recurring problems with work processes, policies, or procedures; contributes ideas on ways to resolve problems to better service the customer and/or improve productivity.
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Additional Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day facility operations, including building systems, repairs, and upkeep of common areas, appliances, and outdoor spaces.
- Coordinate vendor services for non-mechanical facility needs, including custodial, landscaping, and security, ensuring timely and high-quality service delivery.
- Serve as the first point of contact for maintenance and safety concerns, escalating major incidents and collaborating with service teams for quick resolution.
- Ensure compliance with building safety regulations and company policies, addressing any deficiencies promptly.
- Assist with budget tracking and reporting on facility operations, expenses, and project status.
- Maintain strong relationships with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders to deliver a high level of customer service and operational efficiency.
- Demonstrate a proactive, problem-solving approach to facility management and operational challenges.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license and ability to operate a company vehicle to travel between assigned locations as needed.
- Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 50 lbs as part of routine facility tasks.
