This position will assist in diagnosis and repair of vehicles.

Your Specific Responsibilities:
Assist in the diagnosis, repair, overhaul and replacement of gasoline or diesel engines, transmissions, clutches, brakes, electrical systems, hydraulic systems and other parts and major components in automobiles, trucks, heavy equipment, and other related equipment. Field test passenger vehicles to ensure the repairs have been satisfactorily completed. Repairs, changes, and balances tires on automotive and heavy equipment.
Performs preventative maintenance work to ensure that equipment is maintained and is in proper working order. Performs periodic maintenance, repair, and preparation of seasonal equipment.
Submits requests for parts and supplies. Operates personal computers and printers for processing work orders. Responsible for properly tracking and reporting time charged on various work activities and completing shop work orders.
Responds to emergency road service calls and performs minor repairs to vehicles and equipment. Cleans up after repairs and returns tools to their proper location. Performs minor welding and paint and body repairs.
The Successful Candidate will have the following required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of repair and maintenance of automobiles, trucks, small engines and heavy equipment.
- Knowledge of diagnostic equipment; the use of repair manuals.
Skills:
- Skilled in the use of hand tools and mechanical equipment.
- Skilled in replacing, repairing and installing various components and accessories such as radios, heaters, windshield wipers, etc
