The Associate will lead and/or assist in new and existing products for the dealer distribution channel to achieve the Division’s production and profitability goals. This includes working with the Forms Specialist and various departments including Administration, Sales, Risk Management and Compliance to ensure product updates and revisions are made in a timely manner compliant with lender & state requirements. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage or assist in the internal/external product development efforts to meet market and customer needs and maintain underwriting profitability for the product, including stakeholder analysis (e.g., requirements gathering, prioritization, etc.), product design and refinement, contract drafting.
  • Work with Lender Team, Administration, Compliance, Risk Management, and Sales teams to deliver new, enhanced products/services to the field on a timely basis.
  • Assist in the development, implementation and execution of product exceptions and product backlog requests to maximize customer retention and business profitability goals.
  • Utilize industry and market research on a regular basis to maintain competitive product/rate data base(s)

Communications:

  • This position is in contact with external and internal customers.  As an ambassador of our company and brand, this position requires strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.  

Professional Specifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 1-2 years’ experience in product development or similar experience
  • Minimum 2 years insurance industry experience required
  • Working knowledge of basic service contract and warranty products
  • Strong system/computer skills
  • F&I experience is not required but is considered a plus

Requirements:

  • Self-starter, able to prioritize and work independently
  • Ability to handle multiple projects/assignments at the same time
  • Well organized and detail oriented
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Team player
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Protective’s targeted salary range for this position is $60,000-$70,000 annual. Actual salaries may vary depending on factors, including but not limited to, job location, skills, and experience. The range listed is just one component of Protective’s total compensation package for employees. This position also offers additional incentive opportunities through an annual incentive based on individual and Company performance.
