About You

We’re seeking a result-focused, innovative, self-driven, and well-qualified individual to join our talented team as our HR Manager - Europe. Based out of our Wiesbaden Germany location, you will play a crucial role in driving our company's success by developing and implementing regional strategies, plans, and activities that support our business objectives. You will work closely with management and employees across our European operations to enhance work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention, and ensure legal compliance. We are an HR team in transformation – looking for a regional resource to help drive new and innovative ways to engage and grow our business.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Partnership: Act as a strategic partner to the European leadership team, providing insight and guidance on HR matters that affect the achievement of business objectives.

Talent Management: Lead regional talent acquisition, development, and retention strategy and onsite activities to ensure we attract and retain top talent. This includes: active engagement in recruitment processes, coordinate employment agreement/contract execution with local labor attorney, scheduling and delivering orientation, partnering with hiring managers on building robust onboarding plans, and ensuring 30-60-90 day performance feedback framework is executed.

Training and Development: Identify training needs and coordinate development programs design and implementation to enhance employees' skills and knowledge. Serve as enabler for BCE sponsored employee, people manager, and leadership development strategy, tools and succession planning to prepare employees for future roles within the company and to enhance skills. Explore, recommend, and implement targeted local and corporate sponsored development training programs, and implementing performance management systems.

Compliance and Risk Management: Keep abreast of legal requirements related to HR, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance across European jurisdictions.

Change Management: Support organizational change by providing direct support and guidance to all levels of management, facilitating change initiatives, and driving the adoption of new processes and structures.

Diversity and Inclusion: Champion diversity and inclusion initiatives, ensuring that our workplace is inclusive and diverse, reflecting the communities we serve.

People & Administration Team Management: Manage small team focused on HR day-to-day administration

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Relevant HR certifications (e.g., CIPD) is a plus.
  • Proven experience as an HR Business Partner, ideally within the chemical industry or a related manufacturing environment 5+ years.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR practices and legal employment standards across Europe.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage and influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the capability to manage complex situations.
  • Fluency in Germany and English.
  • Willingness to travel across Europe as required.
  • Knowledge of payroll accounting, taxes and social security
