This is a term position; length of the term will be discussed during the interview process. Continuation past the term length discussed will be based on university need, performance, and/or availability of funding.
POSITION SPECIFICS
The Department of Physics at The Pennsylvania State University invites applications for a postdoctoral scholar position in condensed matter physics.
The successful candidate will join Professor Zhiqiang Mao’s research group to contribute to an ongoing program focused on the discovery and synthesis of layered ferroelectric and multiferroic materials. The project involves bulk single-crystal growth, structural and compositional characterization, and measurements of magnetic, dielectric, ferroelectric, and electronic transport properties.
A Ph.D. in physics or a closely related field is required; prior experience with single-crystal growth and materials characterization is strongly preferred.
