The Emergency Management & Preparedness Intern will support the planning, coordination, and implementation of emergency preparedness and response activities for St. Joseph���s Health. This internship offers a hands-on opportunity to work alongside a dynamic team focused on healthcare system readiness, incident response coordination, and regulatory compliance.
Current enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s program in Emergency Management, Public Health, Homeland Security, Healthcare Administration, or a related field. Basic knowledge of the Incident Command System (ICS) and FEMA training (ICS-100, ICS-200, ICS-300, ICS-400, ICS-700 and ICS-800). Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with emergency management software is a plus. Interest in healthcare emergency preparedness or hospital operations is highly encouraged.
