WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DOPrepare food items according to standard recipesEnsure portions are correct size and weightFollow all recipe specificationsEnsure proper rotation of all food items, including the lifting/moving of all food bens weighting up to 150 lbs. Keep all work areas clean and spill freeEnsure floor is cleaned, mop spills and remove any food, trash, or other obstacles from floorInspect food for spoilageProper rotation of food itemsMaintain equipment in prep area of kitchenMaintain line of sight/atmosphere control by circulating through your work area during shiftFollow House of Blues safety and sanitation standardsAssist other employees as neededFollow closing procedures and check out with manager on dutyEnsure guest satisfactionWHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRINGRequired:Knowledge of high-volume kitchen operationsLarge batch cookingKitchen sanitation knowledgeAble to consistently follow recipe standardsSkills in using a knife and heavy-duty kitchen equipmentHigh School DiplomaPreferred:Ability to organize and manage timeSelf-motivation work with little supervisionAble to inspect food items for spoilage and properly rotateLine cooking and dishwashing skillsPhysical Demands/Working Environment:Working environment is fast-paced and often stressfulPosition requires extended periods of prolonged standing and working on your feetMust be able to lift and/or move up to 150 lbs.EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY We are passionate and committed to our people
