Description

The Business Administration Division of Pepperdine University’s Seaver College of Letters, Arts, and Sciences seeks a candidate with an earned Ph.D. in accounting, management with an accounting concentration, or a closely related field for a one-year visiting faculty position. Candidates are expected to complete all requirements for the Ph.D. before the date of appointment, which begins August 1, 2025.  A strong candidate who is ABD would be considered. A documented research interest in accounting is required and teaching experience is preferred. Introductory-level financial and managerial accounting courses will be the main teaching assignment. The applicant’s preference will be considered before the teaching assignment is finalized.

 

The business program at Seaver College is accredited by The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). US News and World Report ranks Pepperdine University in the top 76 colleges and universities in the country.  We have approximately 890 undergraduate students in the Business Administration Division.  Despite a large number of majors, our classes are small (rarely more than 30 students) and our faculty is collegial and collaborative.  The division offers Bachelor of Science degree programs in accounting, business administration, finance, and international business and several minors.  Degree programs are offered on a full-time, residential basis at the main campus in Malibu, California.  Seaver College has an enrollment of approximately 3,550 students. The salary for this appointment will range from $95,000 to $115,000 and reflects what Pepperdine University reasonably expects to pay for this faculty appointment.
