Your Impact
As a Sales Account Manager, you will play a vital role in be responsible for cultivating productive and mutually beneficial relationships with customers in across the personal care market.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop long-term, productive relationships with current customers by understanding their business needs and seeking to address their challenges.
- Ensure that the customer views the Company as a trusted partner and problem-solver enabling business retention and growth.
- Leverage market knowledge to seek opportunities for new business development. Identify unmet needs, prioritize opportunities and partner within the organization to support growth opportunities.
- Establish (and follow) a rigorous process for following up on new leads, pursuing new lines of inquiry, etc.
- Understand personal care market trends and competitive environment in our market segments.
- Provide market and customer feedback to all internal stakeholders.
Qualifications
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor of Science in Biology, Chemistry, Cosmetic Science or related field required.
- 5+ years combined experience in bench formulation, commercial experience in specialty chemical industry and sales
- Demonstrated expertise in formulating cosmetic, haircare, skincare products.
- Strong understanding of cosmetic formulation/ raw materials
- Proven sales track record with customers/consumers in the US specialty chemical market.
- General knowledge of the personal care consumer and marketplace trends.
- Business and technical acumen: understand product portfolio and business strategy and utilize this knowledge to recognize opportunities to provide customer solutions and obtain new business.
- Familiarity with key personal care customer contacts and/or relationships with suppliers is desired.
- Excellent computer skills including (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint); previous CRM and ERP experience.
