As a product manager you will be on a team responsible for creating, building, and growing this worldwide SaaS-based system and services!
The successful candidate will have proven experience balancing diverse and sometimes divergent opinions, driving momentum through periods of ambiguity to deliver a successful product. Your emphasis will be on customer interaction, maintaining product expertise, building team relationships and influencing all aspects of the product’s priorities.
Responsibilities
- Maintain expert-level knowledge of current capabilities and the product roadmap
- Collaborate with Product Marketing teams generating a variety of marketing materials, such as social media content, public and internal communications about product updates and events, blogs, product web pages, and more
- Collaborate with Events and Marketing teams and other stakeholders to create content and messaging for major Esri events, such as Esri User Conference, Esri Developer Summit, Esri Partner Conference, and more
- Maintain written documentation of customer interviews and product requirements in alignment with existing Product Management processes and systems
- Represent end users and Product Management in discussions with Product Development and other stakeholders establishing priority and timeline for product features, enhancements, and other modifications
- Collaborate with Product Marketing, Global Business Development, Technical Support, Customer Service, and other internal teams to generate specialized launch readiness materials targeting diverse stakeholders
- Support ongoing improvement and evolution of sales enablement strategies, keeping Global Business Development apprised of product value propositions and positioning information
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in a technical or product-related role such as engineering, product management, development, support, and more
- Communicate effectively verbally, in writing, and via presentations, with a diverse range of stakeholders from administrative assistants to executive leadership, both domestic and international, customer and internal development teams
- Accurately understand and document user feedback about business needs, feature capabilities, workflows, and values and represent them to software engineers in the form of actionable requirements and specific "problems to solve"
- Maintain the agility to balance passion for continuous improvement and user advocacy with the diligence and patience required to support extended or shifting implementation timelines
- Comfortable, communicative, and calm in high stakes discussions
- Comfortable navigating highly ambiguous situations and relying on professional judgment without direct oversight
- Self-motivated, creative, and team-oriented
- Excellent problem-solving and creative thinking skills
- Effective time management and organizational skills
- Active listening skills and curiosity about other people's work, experience, and perspective
- Travel 10%-20% of the time, to customer sites, conferences, trade shows, and other strategic meetings and events
- Bachelor's in a field related to technology, GIS, or business
Recommended Qualifications
- Experience with or certifications in the Pragmatic Framework Experience
- Experience working with location-based content, GIS, and ArcGIS Online or ArcGIS Enterprise
- Experience working with SaaS products and customers
- Master's in a field related to technology, GIS, or business
