CORPORATE CONTROLLER

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for managing the organization's accounting and finance functions. The accounting function of the organization includes establishing and maintaining the organization's accounting principles, practices, procedures, internal controls, and initiatives so that accurate financial statements are produced.    The finance function includes forecasting trends into the existing business to determine future state as well as treasury management, reimbursement, tax, and other reporting activities.

As a part of this responsibility, a key output of the role is the preparation of internal and external financial reports and key findings and recommendations to management.  This includes ensuring that all documentation complies with company's regulations, professional standards and GAAP reporting guidelines as required.  Prepares reports which summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present and expected operations.  Coordinates and oversees the work of external auditors.   In the absence of the CFO, manages the accounting department staff including Accounting, Payroll, and Accounts Payable.   

EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have thorough knowledge of accounting, finance, reimbursement, budgeting, credit, and collection as relates to healthcare.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Requires 5-7 years of prior management experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.
• A current CPA certification is preferred.
