Program and Role Summary:
The primary focus of the Maintenance Technician, is to maintain the grounds, facility, equipment, and vehicles in a safe and efficient manner, in accordance with established procedures, and as directed by your supervisor, to assure that a successful, viable, maintenance program is maintained at all times.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Receive and follow maintenance schedule/instructions from your supervisor and as outlined in our established maintenance policies and procedures.
- Perform routine maintenance and repair on the facility and equipment to include plumbing, plastering, painting, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, etc., as directed, in accordance with established procedures.
- Complete work orders request on WorxHub efficiently in accordance with department’s policy and procedure.
- Conduct walk-through inspections of buildings.
- Follow all established safety procedures and precautions when performing maintenance service.
- Assist in servicing both Stand-by Diesel Engine Generators.
- Assist in conducting Daily Safety Inspections of all WFS Fleet vehicles.
- Assist in taking vehicles to Auto Service shop in case needed.
- Assist in perform and conduct Maintenance Routine Inspections of the entire campus.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the field of electrical, plumbing, welding, carpentry, masonry, HVAC, and general maintenance work required.
- Ability to read and understand documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write and generate routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to utilize common sense understanding to carry out written, oral or diagrammed instructions.
- Basic computer skills, Word, and Excel
