Diageo indirect tax charge is £7bn globally. The role has responsibility for carrying out the Indirect Tax compliance review for the markets under their responsibility including the execution of process improvements and managing the Indirect Tax compliance risk agenda for the relevant markets.</p><p></p><p>One of the main purposes of this role is to ensure that the markets’ indirect tax processes (including VAT, excise duty and other supplementary returns) are undertaken accurately, efficiently (utilising automation) and on time and the surrounding internal control procedures, legislative requirements are strictly adhered to. The role will support the successful implementation and ongoing operation of the Global Indirect Tax processes, controls and automation tools under the new Tax Operating model.</p><p></p><p>Scope of role covers reviewing or preparing VAT, excise duty, and connected returns.  This requires interaction with the Indirect Tax Lead, Seniors and Analysts, a number of functions including both markets and central functions with a special focus on financial controlling teams, Source to Pay and Sell to Cash.
