Join our team as a Shipping and Receiving Associate!
This position is ONSITE based in Brooklyn Park. 
Shift: Monday- Friday 10 AM- 6 PM

What You Will do:

•        Organizes, plans and prioritizes daily workload and activities in the Logistics area to meet goals
•        Confers with others to coordinate operations and activities within or between shifts and other functional areas
•       Identify, recommend and implement measures to improve functional methods, safety, quality and efficiency
•        Provides guidance and expert advice on technical, systems or process related topics
•        Insures safety procedures and guidelines and best housekeeping practices
•        Encourages and builds mutual trust, respect and cooperation among team members
•        Assist supervisor in defining work standards and measures
•        Find out training needs: look for what training our employees need to do their job well and safely
•        Conduct training: train employees on how to use equipment, follow work processes, and understand safety rules
•        Continually seek to improve work process and individual performance
•        Provides input to the supervisor for employee reviews
•        Watch for, and alert supervisor to, potential discipline and/or other problems
•        Adhere to all quality and safety standards within the department
•        Adhere to all company policies and operational procedures
•        Perform other related duties as assigned

What It Takes:

•        Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Must be able to communicate goals and procedures clearly.
•        Must have exceptional understanding and technical expertise of Logistics systems and procedures.
•        Able to use and grow in proficiency the use of Microsoft Office software solutions such as Outlook, Word and Excel.
•        Able to work and lead in a fast-paced, team-oriented work environment.
•        Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency.
•        Must be punctual, have good attendance and set the example.
•        Must be able to be certified and experienced on Reach truck and sit down forklifts.

Bonus Points For:

• 2+ years of shipping and receiving experience
• Forklift experience 
• Experience using UPS, FedEx shipping software preferred
• Experience with international shipments preferred
