Teacher – Chemistry  Purpose of Role  The Chemistry teacher for Grades 8–12 will be responsible for delivering the Cambridge and CBSE curricula effectively, ensuring strong conceptual understanding and academic performance. The role includes planning and conducting practical’s, preparing students for board and internal assessments, and maintaining academic records. The teacher will differentiate instruction to meet varied learning needs and collaborate with the department for curriculum alignment.   • Plan and deliver engaging Chemistry lessons that help students connect theory to real-life applications.
  • Ensure syllabus completion in line with curriculum timelines and exam readiness.
  • Guide students through lab experiments safely, making sure they understand the concepts behind each activity.
  • Assess students regularly and fairly—through tests, practical, and projects—and support them in improving.
  • Be accountable for tracking academic performance and working towards strong student outcomes.
  • As a class teacher, build a positive classroom culture, mentor students, and manage day-to-day class routines.
  • Communicate regularly with parents to support student development and well-being.
  • Contribute actively to school life—be it helping with academic events, exhibitions, or inter-house competitions.
  • Keep the classroom vibrant with displays that reflect learning and student achievements.
  • Recognise different learning needs and adjust your teaching to support and challenge each student appropriately.
  • Work closely with your department and grade-level team to share ideas, resources, and good practices.
  • Attend team meetings, planning sessions, and be an active contributor to school initiatives.
  • Stay updated with curriculum changes and pedagogy through professional development.
  • Be open to learning and growing—both as a teacher and as a mentor to students.
Skills, Qualifications and Experience
  • A master’s degree in chemistry is preferred
  • Cambridge/CIE/IGCSE training or certification is a strong advantage for international curriculum roles
  • 4–8 years of teaching experience in High School (Grades 8–12)
  • Experience in handling CBSE board exams or Cambridge IGCSE/A Level Chemistry
  • Proven track record of academic results and student growth
  • Experience conducting science exhibitions, lab practical, Olympiad coaching, or extended learning projects is desirable
  • Strong content knowledge in Chemistry: Physical, Organic,
