Overview of the Role:

We are seeking a technical and customer-focused Public Sector Solutions Consultant to join our team. The Public Sector  Solutions Consultant will be responsible for understanding public sector customer business requirements and technical needs to design and implement solutions that leverage PagerDuty’s products. They will also provide technical guidance, best practices, and support throughout the pre-sales and implementation process to ensure public sector customer success.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Understanding and experience of public sector (federal, state and local government) business development processes.
• Understand and analyze public sector customer business and technical requirements.
• Design and implement solutions using PagerDuty’s products to meet public sector customer needs.
• Provide technical guidance and best practices to public sector customers during pre-sales and implementation phases.
• Support public sector customers in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
• Collaborate with Sales, Product, and Engineering teams to ensure public sector customer success.

 

Basic Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a technical consulting or solutions engineering role.
• Strong understanding of SaaS solutions and cloud technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills.
• Act as the technical lead, reading and understanding RFPs/RFIs to design solutions to meet the specific requirements for public sector agencies
• Ability to work with modern APIs

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Department of Defense Architecture Framework experience.
• Public speaking experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with incident management or digital operations management platforms.

 

The base salary range for this position is 144,000 - 198,000 USD. This role may also be eligible for bonus, commission, equity, and/or benefits.

Our base salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range, which is subject to change based on primary work location, reflects the minimum and maximum base salary we expect to pay newly hired employees for the position. Within the range, we determine pay for an individual based on a number of factors including market location, job-related knowledge, skills/competencies and experience.
