ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Inventory Health & Optimization: Analyze aging, excess, and obsolete inventory across all locations and product categories. Recommend actions to improve turnover, reduce carrying costs, and prevent stockouts or overstocking.
• Product Performance & Sell-Through: Track and rank product sell-out performance to identify fast-moving vs. slow-moving items. Use this analysis to influence purchasing, promotions, and markdown strategies.
• Turns. GM, GM%, GMROI Reporting: Regularly calculating inventory turns and gross margin return related KPI to assess product and category performance. Identify opportunities to improve inventory productivity.
• Open Purchase Order (PO) Review: Monitor open POs for timing, accuracy, and alignment with current inventory needs and forecasts. Flag potential overbuys or missed opportunities and suggest adjustments.
• Open-to-Buy (OTB) Support: Assist in managing OTB plans by ensuring purchasing decisions align with sales trends, budget targets, and inventory position. Provide input for seasonal or promotional buys.
• Forecast Collaboration: Work closely with demand planning, sales, and purchasing teams to validate demand forecasts and ensure inventory strategies are aligned with business goals.
• Ad Hoc and Strategic Analysis: Deliver on-demand reporting and deep-dive analysis to support strategic inventory decisions, SKU rationalization, and supply chain planning.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, finance, analytics, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in inventory analysis, supply chain planning, or merchandise planning is a plus
• Strong Excel and data analytics skills (pivot tables, lookups, scenario modeling)
• Strong experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
• Solid understanding of inventory KPIs including turns, GMROI, days on hand, and sell-through
• Detail-oriented, organized, and highly analytical with strong problem-solving ability
• Effective communicator with ability to present data insights clearly to cross-functional teams
