Description
Leads, supports and monitors activities of employees within the shipping department. Oversee all aspects of shipping/customer pick up, including preparing products for shipment, loading trucks accurately and efficiently.
Requirements
Duties and Responsabilities:
Guide and support the team in preparing, loading trucks safe and accurately
Lead, train, motivate shipping personnel, ensuring they understand and follow company procedure.
Monitors quality throughout the process for adherence to company standards
Works closely and in a cooperative manner with management and supervisors of other production lines & functional departments to help meet the company’s goals
Assists management and supervisors in leading training of new employees on assigned daily job functions to be performed and in safe use and operation of tools and equipment
Leads and maintains daily safe, clean work environment by training and leading personnel on established systems, policies, and procedures, especially as it relates to the company’s safety and security
Notifies the maintenance department and plant manager of any need for adjustment or repair of equipment and cooperates in correcting deficiencies and affecting repairs
Provides management and supervisors with information regarding progress against production plan as required
Performs other related duties as required
Education and Training Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
Preferred Skills Required:
Minimum of one (1) year experience in window & door manufacturing or related field
Previous supervisory experience preferred but not required
Preferred Skills Required:
Possesses the ability to understand and communicate clearly in English & Spanish
Demonstrates a high degree of attention to detail
Possesses a high degree of organizational skill and has the ability to plan and coordinate people and processes
Ability to lead collaboration with employees and a wide range of people from other departments and functional areas within the
Shift Requirements:
Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm (8 Hours)
