About the role

The Culture Strategy Group in the Executive Office partners with stakeholders across the firm to reinforce and foster the culture, history, and core values of Goldman Sachs through global programming and events, specialized initiatives, and employee engagement, messaging and multimedia efforts. We are responsible for safeguarding and preserving the firm’s distinctive culture and maintaining the firm’s archival program across physical artifacts and digitized assets. The team supports several employee recognition opportunities including the annual “Quarter Century Club” event, specialized projects for the Office of the Chairman, and firmwide flagship programs for employees.  The team is responsible for driving cultural awareness and the strategy to execute communications and integrate culture conversations into employee resources and orientation programs. The group produces purposeful multimedia content to connect our people with employee stories and leadership insights, as well, socializes business priorities and commercial messaging across several distribution channels.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

The Culture Strategy Group at Goldman Sachs manages the firm’s culture and 156 year history across the global organization with an objective to codify the strategy around preserving the firm’s most distinctive asset. The team consists of a small number of specialists who manage distinct functions, including history and archives, video and content creation, events management, program management, KPI reporting, and communications.

The team collaborates with various stakeholders around the world and across divisions to drive consistent, impactful, and creative programming and initiatives related to the firm’s culture and history.

Role Summary 

Key Responsibilities

  • The Culture Strategy Group Analyst will be a generalist and help support our video producer, archivist, and events program managers with an opportunity to acquire technical, operational, and creative skills 
  • The Analyst will deliver innovative initiatives sponsored by the Executive Office in a project-oriented environment that offers multiple opportunities for growth 
  • The team partners with senior stakeholders across the organization to cascade key messages on culture, the firm’s purpose, our core values, and commercial objectives through produced multimedia, content, and program delivery 
  • The Analyst will facilitate content creation through interview preparations, drafting briefing documents and interview questions, summarizing discussions, and editing content 
  • The Analyst will act in a collaborative capacity by proactively identifying ways to share resources and cross-leverage assets for firmwide audiences to maximize ROI
  • They will help with employee integration opportunities to embed culture content into employee programming including orientations and resources
  • The Analyst will help execute events management across several employee engagement and networking initiatives over the course of the year, including the annual Quarter Century Club dinner, recognition award programs, speaker engagements, and networking opportunities 
  • They will help launch new culture curriculum, where applicable, strategically helping the team design and execute new programs for the firm
  • The Analyst will help manage KPI reporting and tracking for the team, as well, help create effective presentations and materials to facilitate strategy, focus group sessions and execution based meetings
  • The Analyst will help support the Goldman Sachs Archives program through maintaining physical and digital collateral and helping innovate on ways to improve the accession process
  • They will serve as a resource to help with bespoke historical research inquiries and help produce content from our archives for various Office of the Chairman initiatives, employee and alumni events, as well, create and design commemorative items

Required Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree, 1-3 years of experience at a financial services firm, marketing firm, consulting firm, or related industry
  • Results-oriented, self-directed with demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple time-sensitive projects and function as part of a cohesive team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
  • Flexibility to work across various projects and with different stakeholders globally
  • Ability to conduct research, analyze content, and summarize recommendations
