Job Description

As a Security Professional - Distribution Center - Overnight Shift in Romulus, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal at a prominent retail location, you will be the first point of contact for visitors, employees, and vendors. Your primary responsibilities will include managing access control, verifying credentials, and providing a welcoming presence at the front desk. You will help to deter security-related incidents by maintaining a visible and approachable demeanor, while also assisting with inquiries and delivering outstanding customer service. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy interacting with people and are comfortable using computers or tablets to support daily operations. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk.
• Monitor access to the location, verifying credentials and assisting with visitor management to help to deter unauthorized entry.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences as required by site procedures.
• Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters.
• Support emergency response activities as needed, including alerting appropriate personnel and assisting with evacuation procedures if required.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Must be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preference given to those with prior experience.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
