As a Program Quality Engineer on our Landing Systems Programs team in Haltom City, TX; you must be able to influence without authority and provide expertise between the organization and both internal/external customers to ensure their requirements and expectations are satisfied. You will support the development, implementation and continuous improvement for the assigned Programs.

You will act as the Quality interface including customer and internal management communication, reviews, and presentations for the assigned Military Programs in Landing Systems.

What YOU will do:

  • Manage customer issues in a timely professional manner

  • Responsible for resolving critical issues/situations ensuring they are handled correctly and within current policy/procedure guidelines

  • Support/Participate in Program Reviews, including but not limited to: PDR, CDR PDPR, and MPR

  • Experience with Preliminary Review (PR) & Material Review Board (MRB) activities

  • Review and approve engineering changes via change board process

  • Lead and participate in preventive and corrective actions

  • Responsible for the collection and analysis of Program Quality data to identify adverse trends and improvement opportunities

  • Develop, implement, and audit inspection and test plans, standards and acceptance criteria, and procedures/ work instructions

  • PPAP oversight including PFMEA assistance with suppliers and technical focals

  • Assist in the preparation, review, and approval of specific quality documents – Quality Plans, Quality Test Procedures, and Acceptance Test Procedures

  • Participation and preparation for customer, third party, regulatory, and internal audits

  • Facilitate the investigation and elimination of causes of quality problems and follow-up on corrective actions

  • Develop and analyze statistical data and product/ process performance to recommend and implement improvements in targeted areas of the organization

  • Participate and lead Manufacturing Process Reviews

  • Create and review Data Packs

  • Any other special assignment as required

  • Will travel up to 25% of the time

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience

  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required

  • Minimum 3 years of experience with AS9100, and managing Quality Assurance Investigations

  • Minimum 3 years of Continuous Improvement experience

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience with Military Quality flow downs

  • Experience with SAP, HFM, PowerBi etc.

  • Six Sigma or LEAN experience, knowledge of Lean Product Development (LPD), and Continuous Improvement (CI)

  • ASQ Certification and/or Six Sigma Black Belt

  • Experience with AS9145 – Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Design Failure Mode and Effective Analysis (DFMEA), and Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA) or industry equivalent
