Job Description

We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic faculty member to teach in our Dental Assistant Program.  This is a part-time, professional position reporting directly to the Program Director. The primary responsibility will be to teach Dental Assisting courses. Applicants will also be expected to provide academic advising to students, assist the program director and participate in department training, meetings and graduation. 

Qualifications

• Completion of a Dental Assistant program resulting in a Certification of Completion or Diploma; associate degree preferred
• Certification
  • DANB Radition Health & Safety (RHS) and - REQUIRED
  • Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) and/or
  • Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) and/or
  • Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA)
• At least three years of experience as a Dental Assistant chairside
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Highly organized, motivated and results driven
• Prior higher education/postsecondary teaching experience preferred
