The Opportunity

This position is an onsite opportunity in the Abbott Diabetes Care Division. We are helping people with Diabetes lead healthier, happier lives.   As a global leader in diabetes care, Abbott is constantly working to deliver the highest quality products and unwavering support to our customers.  Consistent and accurate glucose monitoring is the foundation of any diabetes management plan, so we’re committed to continuous improvement in the way patients and professionals measure, track and analyze glucose levels.

As a Senior Finance Manager, you will provide financial support for Freight (Global inbound and US outbound), Global Inventory (Finished Goods, WIP and Raw Materials), the IBP (Integrated Business Planning) Supply Chain process and Customs & Compliance organization of ADC globally. The role will also be responsible for maintaining and improving the Supply Chain financial processes pertaining to inventory and freight/distribution forecasting, as well as be the key contact for Supply Chain financial matters related to RLBE/Plan, Actuals, Cash Flow and Capital. The position requires strong analytical, prioritization, and presentation skills as well as evaluating processes and identifying areas of improvement/efficiency. This is an onsite opportunity in Alameda, CA.

What You'll Do

  • Strengthen the process to project and analyze inventory and freight/distribution costs by appropriately incorporating the IBP, Weekly SRA and RLBE Process.
  • Analyze Freight and Inventory activities for purposes of monthly closing and reporting of actuals, quarterly RLBE forecasts, and annual Plan/OEM cycles.
  • Support any supply continuity concerns and appropriately work with other stakeholders (Commercial, QA and Demand) to resolve and monitor situations.
  • Monthly presentation of actual and forecast reporting to Finance and Supply Chain.
  • Oversee monthly reporting of Division DOH.
  • Support the Customs and Compliance function to ensure that any action plans are appropriately implemented on a timely basis.
  • Ad hoc requests from management (Division & Corporate functions including Tax, Treasury, Audit, etc.)
  • Ensure adherence to Abbott accounting policies and procedures (CFMs) and Sarbanes Oxley requirements.

Education and Experience You'll Bring
Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economic 
  • Minimum 8 years Finance and supervisory experience (FP&A, Cost/General Accounting and Financial Reporting)
  • Ability to plan, implement and administer financial information and control systems
  • Knowledge of the principles, processes and standards for integrated financial analysis and reporting

Preferred

  • BA, CPA/CMA preferred
