Credence has an Immediate need for a Senior Qlik Developer/Architect to support the Defense Logistics Agency, to join our dynamic team in Arlington, VA. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining robust Business Intelligence (BI) solutions using the Qlik platform (Qlik Sense, NPrinting, etc.) within a complex, high-volume data environment. You will play a key role in transforming diverse data sources into actionable insights, optimizing performance, ensuring security, and driving BI best practices. This role requires deep technical expertise in Qlik, strong data modeling and ETL skills, and the ability to work effectively within secure, mission-critical systems.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the duties listed below

• BI Solution Architecture & Design: Lead the design and architecture of end-to-end BI solutions using Qlik Sense, NPrinting, and Vizlib. Develop robust, scalable, multi-tier architectures and best-practice data models suitable for complex and varied data structures. Ensure designs incorporate high availability, disaster recovery, and considerations for cloud/enterprise data center hosting.
• Qlik Application Development & Optimization: Develop, test, deploy, and maintain sophisticated Qlik Sense applications. Utilize advanced scripting (Set Analysis), create intuitive UI/UX designs and compelling visualizations for complex workflows and KPIs. Optimize applications for performance and scalability against large datasets using techniques like QVD optimization, incremental loading, and efficient data extraction from diverse sources (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server).
• ETL & Data Integration: Design, build, and maintain robust ETL processes using Qlik scripting/connectors and potentially other enterprise ETL tools. Extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources (databases, queues, files, APIs, legacy systems) and formats into Qlik applications or data repositories. Develop both batch and potentially streaming ETL pipelines.
• Platform Administration & Maintenance: Administer the Qlik Sense Enterprise environment via QMC, managing applications, streams, users, security (Section Access), data connections, and task scheduling. Troubleshoot and resolve platform and application issues, implement monitoring/alerting, and support environment upgrades and migrations.
• Reporting & Distribution: Design, develop, schedule, and manage automated reporting solutions using Qlik NPrinting. Distribute insights securely in various formats, potentially contributing to the modernization of existing reporting capabilities.
• Security, Governance & Compliance: Implement and manage security models within the Qlik platform (Section Access, rules) aligned with stringent security regulations. Contribute to and enforce data governance standards for data accuracy, reliability, and auditability. Collaborate closely with security teams for compliance, reviews, and implementing data protection measures (e.g., masking). Adhere strictly to Information Assurance (IA), Quality Assurance (QA), and Change Management (CM) procedures throughout all development and administration tasks.

Education, Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, OR equivalent professional 1 experience.  
• 7+ years of professional IT experience with a strong focus on Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience designing, developing, and implementing Qlik Sense solutions.
• Proven expertise in Qlik scripting, Set Analysis, data modeling (star schema, etc.), and advanced visualization techniques.
• Demonstrable experience with Qlik Sense Enterprise administration via QMC (managing apps, tasks, security, connections).
• Strong experience in developing ETL processes to integrate data from diverse sources (e.g., SQL databases, APIs, flat files).
• Proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server).
