Product Owner

We are looking for a Product Owner to organize, prioritize and assess work for a client scrum team. The successful candidate will have experience as a Product Owner with responsibilities include gathering feature requests, scheduling releases and coordinating sprint activities and prioritization. To be successful in this role, you should be able to identify user needs and work with cross-functional teams to manage product releases. Ultimately, you’ll help us roll-out products that deliver our company’s vision.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrated experience incorporating business related feature requests into product roadmap.
• Proactive grooming and prioritization the product backlog to ensure development progress is met to align to the business' needs.
• Develop user stories and define acceptance criteria.
• Set sprint goals in collaboration with Scrum Master and Technical Lead
• Write user acceptance tests in coordination with Quality Assurance process.
• Plan releases and upgrades.
• Follow progress of work and address sprint obstacles with Scrum Master and business users as necessary.
• Analyze, prioritize and document requests from end users for future feature consideration.
• Refine our agile methodology based on results and client feedback.

Requirements

• More than three years of experience as a Product Owner
• Five years of work experience in the role of Business Analyst or other IT facilitator-based role.
• Deep exposure to and understanding of working within an Agile environment as a Product Owner, Business Analyst or Scrum Master.
• Hands-on experience managing all stages of the product life cycle.
• Technical background with knowledge of software development.
• Experience working in a start-up product environment or early-stage company a plus.
• Deep understanding and management of JIRA to efficiently manage features, requirements and testing.
• Excellent consensus building skills.
• Ability to prioritize competing business user expectations to maintain productivity and development team focus.
