Your Responsibilities

 

As a Senior Software Engineer (CA) for John Deere in Moline, IL, you will:

 

• Develop and maintain unique algorithms and automation for Cloud Management Product; provide specialized support for product, coordinate with others and write and test code along with deployment;
• Enhance product design to improve the cost, quality and performance; collaborate with other relevant stakeholders and team members;
• Follow industry standard agile software design methodology for development and documentation;
• Operate within an Agile team and participate in all aspects of the team’s work;
• Work within established guidelines such as coding standards, workflow, or tool standards;
• Considered an expert within the team on tools and technology in use;
• Work with junior members of the team by pairing, coaching, and reviewing;
• Provide input into the product development strategy and roadmap.
• 20% remote work allowed. Must live within normal commuting distance of the worksite. 25% domestic travel required.

 

What Skills You Need

 

• 4 years of experience with Secure by Design framework and DevSecOps principles and guidelines to develop secure, scalable and effective applications
• 5 years of experience in develop and deliver IT services across different business domains in multiple environments by deploying and managing API layer of applications using Agile principles
• 2 years of experience with unified template management to create infrastructure for multi cloud resources and implement application security by designing custom rules with AWS CloudFormation
• 4 years of experience in implement OOPS principles to make application highly scalable
• 3 years of experience in use of SQL, PL/SQL and NoSQL to optimize database queries for faster application response

 

Education/Experience

 

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or related field plus 5 years related experience.
