Production Worker - 2nd Shift - Cutting Department

Job Description:
In this role, the Production Worker will be responsible for:
o Visually inspecting edges of wipers for seal quality according to product-specific work instructions and departmental standard operating procedures (SOPs).
o Operating bag-sealing equipment.
o Inspecting, identifying, and reporting defects and/or contamination in the product
o Inspecting finished goods for shipment.
o Weighing, documenting, and discarding equipment scrap.
o Preparing and packaging finished goods for shipment.
o Notifying machine operators to make adjustments to machines to correct variables producing defects or the quality product.
o Following all quality guidelines in the performing of job functions.
o Maintaining equipment in a clean contamination control state.
o Maintaining organized paperwork and records.
o Maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
o Training new associates on all aspects of job function.
o Working in other functional areas to improve the flexibility of job assignments
o Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications
o High School Diploma or GED required or a combination of experience and education
o Manufacturing experience and/or training is preferred, but not required.
o Basic computer skills with ability to find, read, and locate documents as needed.
o Basic English comprehension skills with the ability to speak, read, and write in the language with minimal difficulty.
o Must be detail-orientated, highly accurate, and dependable.
o Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
o Ability to work effectively and communicate positively with managers and employees within the organization.
o Basic math skills with the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Must be able to read and use a ruler.
o Must be comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.
o Must be able to don appropriate gowning materials and wear PPE as defined by plant safety procedures.
o Ability to frequently stand, walk, sit, reach, and kneel, as well as lift, move, and/or transport up to 40 lbs.
o Ability to visually see contamination and/or defects with or without the use of corrective lenses.
