About the Role:
RailPros has an immediate need of a Senior Civil Project Manager to join our outstanding team of engineering professionals. We are looking for a senior civil project manager with well-rounded experience, knowledge, and understanding of civil engineering design to work independently and lead civil design tasks and civil projects. Valued civil engineering experience includes transit/transportation, hydrology and hydraulics, and proven experience developing PS&E for civil projects. We are very successful in winning both public and private projects as well as railway projects which require civil engineering support and civil projects requiring design and review of civil / utilities / drainage plans in various locations throughout the United States.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead a major project team or several moderate sized project teams for the organization
- Oversee and analyze the financial performance of client accounts and engineering projects.
- Actively engage in project reviews to ensure quality and alignment with goals.

- Ability to manage multiple projects at one time
- Ability to manage budget, schedule, resources, client needs, and perform design work as necessary to meet project needs
- Willingness to travel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Client relations
- Experience in proposal writing
- Experience in business development and marketing business services
- Proficient with electronic communications including e-mail and text as well as standard office applications (i.e., Microsoft Office Suite)
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Skills in persuasion and negotiation of critical issues
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an ABET/EAC accredited program
- 15 years (min.) experience in general civil engineering design including a mix of roadway, drainage, earthwork, H&H, developing construction plans, specifications and estimates
- Experience working with multiple disciplines within a project scope
- Experience in field engineering and/or Design Support During Construction
- Proficient is technical writing specifically specifications in multiple formats
- High level of proficiency
