Job Purpose
As the SHE Supervisor, you'll serve as a trusted advisor and change agent, partnering across the site to elevate safety and environmental performance.
Driving Safety Excellence
- Lead risk assessments and implement practical solutions that reduce risk and strengthen workplace safety.
- Identify opportunities to improve performance in key areas, including reductions in waste, emissions, energy consumption, and water usage.
- Leverage data, audits, and trend analysis to proactively identify risks and drive continuous improvement.
Influence Culture & Leadership
- Partner with site leadership to embed safety ownership into daily operations.
- Championing a culture where safety is everyone's responsibility and continuous improvement is celebrated.
- Coach, mentor, and influence employees and leaders at all levels to adopt safe behaviors and practices.
Lead Strategic Improvement Initiatives
- Support and advance World Class Manufacturing (WCM) through leadership of Safety and Environmental Pillar activities.
- Drive implementation of Unilever's global SHE and Process Safety Management (PSM) programs.
- Lead cross-functional projects that improve compliance, operational performance, and sustainability outcomes.
Ensure Compliance & Risk Management
- Maintain adherence to OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements while ensuring alignment with Unilever global standards.
- Partner with Occupational Health teams to proactively identify and mitigate workplace health risks.
- Support site readiness through audits, inspections, training, and continuous process improvements.
Developing People & Capability
- Assess training needs and help build the safety knowledge and capability of the entire workforce.
- Deliver engaging training and coaching that empowers individuals and teams to excel.
- Foster a learning culture where employees are equipped to identify and prevent risks before incidents occur.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, preferably within a STEM related field or Occupational Health & Safety.
- 3-5+ years of Safety, Environmental, EHS, SHE, or related experience within manufacturing, industrial, or operational environments.
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Experience conducting risk assessments, audits, incident investigations, and corrective action implementation.
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive change across diverse teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Process Safety Management (PSM).
- Experience supporting Lean, TPM, or continuous improvement programs.
- Project management experience with measurable safety outcomes.
Pay: The pay range for this position is $88,600 to $133,000. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.
