Job Description
As Manager - Product Management, you will be responsible for the product management team of assigned product areas: Automotive and Powersport 12v Batteries, Filters and Portfolio Goods across the Bosch Mobility Aftermarket business in North America (USA, Canada and Mexico). Responsibilities include leading a team of product managers, development and execution of product strategy, sourcing, portfolio management and driving profitable growth.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Responsible for product area revenue and profitability - P&L of assigned areas
- Conducting regular business reviews within product management team, cross functions and management
- Definition of product strategy development, product roadmap, positioning and implementation
- Drive innovation management: Develop new product ideas / product planning / user experience studies / competitive benchmarking
- Develop and present business cases, follow release processes from concept to product launch
- Maintain organization and maintenance best practices of master data: including content for catalogue definition, catalog planning and contracting with internal catalog / content teams
- Define price corridors and price points by technology, product line and brand as inputs for trade marketing and pricing team
- Ensure a productive product portfolio across assigned product areas including sales curve tracking, phase out and sales productivity / excessive stock measures
- Drive development of communication elements (sales argumentations, USP, key visuals, OE successes) and enable trade marketing product specialists (trainings, product specs, knowledge, USP, standard presentations)
- Support Bosch Plant and External Source production capacity planning, forecasting and cost development management incl reviewing make/buy decisions on components
- Manage complex projects across multiple departments including sales, marketing, supply chain, purchasing, quality, various supplier and manufacturing sources
Qualifications
EXPERIENCE & BACKGROUND:
- BA degree required, Masters degree preferred
- 7+ years of related work experience
- 3 years of experience in managing people
- Strategic mindset, scenario thinking with experience in leading new product analysis and introduction and P&L managemen
- Analytical, Data driven decision maker capable of generating data transparency and navigate with data tools like tableau and powerBI
- Technical product background on release processes, understanding of regulatory frame conditions and process to manage a product portfolio
- Experience leading towards success in a matrix organization
- Excellent analytical and project management skills
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills with ability to author presentations and reports for senior management
- Comprehensive knowledge and strong skills with MS Office applications, financial modeling, written reports, database analysis and SAP experience
