The Position
The AP & Accounting Specialist handles all transactions within Accounts Payable, coordinates the completion of customer and vendor agreements and documentation, and provides support for the Accounting Team.
Key Responsibilities
- Validate Vendor invoices and match them to purchase orders, request change orders and get approval when necessary. Work closely with purchasing team.
- Audit, code and process vendor invoices in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
- Entry of all vendor invoices into ERP system through manual entry.
- Develop strong working relationships with vendors and ensure timely payment of invoices.
- Process all vendor payment batches, including wires, ACH, credit card and checks.
- Provide weekly projections of upcoming payments to allow for accurate and timely forecasting.
- File vendor invoices, payment support and all other documentation within the Accounting Group.
- Enter, post and file journal entries throughout the month and during month end close.
- Pull documentation and fill out summary schedules to support the Accounting Group.
- Working with other departments, complete all Vendor agreements, forms and documentation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills and Knowledge
- Proficient with Microsoft Office software, including working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of NetSuite.
- Capable of working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
- Team player.
- Attention to detail and follow-up.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of Company information.
- Ability to work well independently or in a team environment.
- Ability to communicate professionally both written and verbally.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associates degree with at least 2 years of experience with Accounts Payable processing; or
