Yard Staff - Part-Time

As a member of the Yard Staff team, you’ll play a key role in safely receiving, preparing, staging, and checking out consigned equipment for our auctions. Providing exceptional customer service in alignment with Ritchie Bros. standards is always expected.

No prior auction experience? No problem!
We offer comprehensive, hands-on training to help you succeed in this role.

This is a part-time role with full-time hours, and it is fully onsite, working in the yard.

The Opportunity:

• Support general inventory control and equipment staging
• Prepare the yard for auction, including lot stickering and layout
• Assist sellers, buyers, and transporters during equipment drop-off and pick-up
• Help Inventory Control Clerks with check-in/check-out when needed
• Maintain organized and efficient checkout processes
• Provide customer support during preview days
• Assist with maintenance and basic repairs on both customer-owned and RB-owned equipment
• Perform general yard upkeep and maintenance of RBA assets
• Coordinate with local mechanics and contractors for on-site work
• Boost equipment as needed
• Work independently and safely when required
• Support other team tasks and responsibilities as needed

Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Physical ability to climb on, off, and under large equipment and trucks
• Willingness to work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions
• Availability to work overtime, including weekends, during peak periods (approximately 4 on-site and 1–2 off-site auctions per year)
• Flexibility to work extended hours 2–3 weeks before and 1–2 weeks after each sale
