Job Summary:

Assistant Professor of Biology – Full-Time Faculty Position

Nebraska Methodist College (NMC) is seeking an experienced full-time faculty member at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor to support health science student education. We are looking for a candidate with expertise to teach microbiology and contribute to other upper-level health science courses within the Arts & Sciences Division. This 12-month position (30-credit hour workload) begins in the Fall 2025 semester and includes participation in lab management rotation.

In addition to teaching two different courses in microbiology with lab, teaching responsibilities would include pathophysiology and pharmacology to meet current institutional needs. Other science courses may be assigned based on candidate experience and background.

Qualifications:
• Preferred: Ph.D. in Biology or a related biological discipline.
• Minimum: Master of Science must hold at least 18 graduate credit hours in microbiology and relevant teaching experience.
• Demonstrated experience in teaching laboratory courses is required.
• Healthcare or clinical background useful
